Image Processing Method for Cargo Container Identification in a Stack Within the Cargo Temperature Control and Fire Safety System on Container Ships

Abstract The current research is focused on the identification of cargo containers in a stack from their images infrared and visible spectra, order to locate container-origin ignition within temperature control fire safety system. relevance topic reinforced by functional requirements for shipboard safety, which are embodied Chapter II-2 Safety Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention, demanded necessity enhancing measures during transportation world container fleet. thermal imager’s field view (FOV) coordinate dependencies between object its image have been studied modelled, an algorithm detection has defined scope connection with camera’s FOV. A corresponding verification carried out means simulation modelling using Unity C# programming language capabilities.
